They are designed so that you can tear part of the wax paper backing off, so some of the mailing seals stick out over the edge of the remaining wax paper. This makes it very easy to grab and peel off the mailing seal. They stick well to the newsletter. The perforation makes it easy to break the newsletter open at the receiving end. To save money, we only use one seal to seal a 12-page newsletter (folded over once). I recommend using two seals, because the postal service sometimes can get kind of rough with them.
