(More customer reviews)The day I received and started using this remanufactured black cartridge, it smudged black all up and down the whole page. I went through every cleaning procedure and reseated the cartridge and nothing would help.There is a business in town that remanufactures HP cartridges but they don't deal with these smaller kinds.Their professional told me this particular remanufactured cartridge probably didn't have it's waste container dumped.There are pockets in the plastic casing where waste collects and he told me they did a shoddy job.

I ordered one of these (an original HP cartridge on sale):[...] and no more smudges.Some remanufacturing companies do a good job and some don't.The professional recommended MSE out of California for those wanting to buy remanufactured cartridges at a reduced price.They set the standard for quality.

Whatever company made this botched cartridge needs better quality control and testing.
