(More customer reviews)August 28th, 2000 I called HP and upon hearing all of the wonderful news about the all "NEW" HP Pavillion, 6730 with an HP Office Jet, model 710, I could hardly resist buying it! I was told over the phone that I would receive EVERYTHING that I would need in order to hook it up and be "computing" in minutes, in addition I was told that I would have free 24/7 tech. support WRONG!!!
I received a USED computer...some...I did not receive EVERYTHING that I needed..My office jet remains [messed] up and if that isn't enough...

The Hewlett-Packard 710 Office Jet is a color printer, fax machine, scanner, and copier all rolled into one. Why clutter your office or home with several machines when this one has all you need? The accurate color is the result of Hewlett-Packard's exclusive color layering technology.
The 710 offers up to 600 x 600 dpi (black text) and 600 x 300 dpi (color graphics) resolution. The printer handles many types of papers as well as iron-on T-shirt transfers and transparencies. It prints black text at up to 5 pages per minute and color text at 2 ppm. Hewlett-Packard's fast-drying inks prevent smudging and let you work with your prints right away, without waiting for drying.
As a fax machine, the 710 Office Jet can send and receive in black and white and in color in just six seconds. The fax features speed dialing, automatic redialing, and a large 50-page memory, so no fax will be lost.
The 710's scanner is an automatic document feeder, or sheet-fed scanner. Scanner resolution is up to 1,200 dpi enhanced (300 dpi optical) with 24-bit color depth (millions of colors). The 710 allows you to scan to fax, scan to e-mail, or scan to other Windows documents.
With the copier, you can make reductions and enlargements from 25 to 400 percent and can make multiple copies--up to 99. Copy resolution is up to 600 x 300 dpi in color with 24-bit color depth. Make color copies assisted with your PC or make black-and-white copies anytime. Switching between the two modes is simple.
The 710 Office Jet is compatible with your Windows-based PC (there is no Macintosh support). It comes with a one-year limited warranty. --Linda Anderson
